Karla Baez - ASAP Court Reporting, Inc.

ASAP Court Reporting, Inc. was founded in 1995 by its principal, Karla Baez, who has worked as a full-time court reporter since earning her California CSR license (#4506) in January 1979. Just prior to receiving her California CSR license in 1979, she tested and qualified to become an RPR (Registered Professional Reporter) by the National Shorthand Reporters Association.

Always a leader in new reporting technology, Karla was also among the first to receive the CRR (Certified Realtime Reporter) designation by the National Shorthand Reporters Association in January 1994.

Geographically expanding her ability to provide quality service, Ms. Baez earned her Nevada CSR License (No. 688) in August 2000. In addition, Ms. Baez has personally taken international assignments in Germany, Taipei, and Mexico, providing daily interactive realtime and same day rough drafts, often with expedited final transcript delivery.

During Ms. Baez’s 30-plus-year tenure as a court reporter, she has gained valuable experience in a variety of areas, including:

  • Depositions of all types, having developed special interest and expertise in biotechnical, medical, intellectual and information technology
  • Bankruptcy Court
  • Federal Grand Jury
  • American Arbitration Association and labor arbitration arenas
